The United Kingdom is taking steps to improve its labor market data in the months of November and December. The Office for National Statistics (ONS) in Britain has announced its plan to reintroduce certain labor market statistics, starting from November. This decision comes after a significant reduction in data release in October, which was caused by a notable decrease in response rates to their primary survey.
In November, the data release will be similar to the experimental data provided in October, but with the addition of regional data to provide a more comprehensive overview of the labor market situation.
Looking ahead to December, the ONS has expressed its commitment to restoring its standard employment bulletin, contingent upon improvements in data collection and methodology. This indicates that the ONS aims to resume its regular labor market reporting in December, provided that the quality of data collection and the methodology used meet their standards.
